This is a genuine 18k yellow gold Arethusa ring by designer Georges Braque. It is signed by Bijoux de Braque, Paris, H de L for Heger de Lowenfeld, numbered 5175 or 5/75, along with a partial / illegible mark that could be an 18k mark (tests as 18k regardless). Georges Braque was a French painter who designed jewelry in the last three years of his life, from 1960 to 1963. This stylized design is of two fishes, representing Oceanides world in Greek Mythology & especially the characters of Idye & Arethusa. Our auction estimate on this piece is 10-10000.
