Offered is an adorable pair of two (2) vintage circa 1945-1962 Josef Originals Mushroom shaped ceramic January Birthday Girl figurines from the American Beauty Series. These are hard to find early figurines made in California (ratherthan Japan) with 5/16" diameter X 1/4" deep openings in their hats for holding little candles.
Each stands approximately 3 1/4" tall X 2 7/8" in diameter at the base and are in very good condition with minorlight under the ...glaze surface age crazing (on very close examination) and no chips, nicks, cracks, repairs or any other type of damage.
They are missing their original labels which would have read: "January" & "Josef Originals - California" but both are incised on the underside with "copyright sign Josef Originals".
Each weighs a little over 1 oz. unpackaged with a shipping weight of approximately 8 oz. for both.
