Vintage Chinese Black Lacquered Hand Painted Oval Tray, Possibly Bakelite?

Vintage Chinese, Black Lacquered, Hand Painted, oval tray. A beautiful tray with a sea serpent and a dragon with a pearl between them. Measures 36cm X24cm, has a raised edge 2cm tall. No idea of age but I'm sure it's at least 80 years old. No markings on the base. Feels like it's made of bakelite but I'm not sure. It is beautifully painted.
