The White Horse Cellar Wall Sign, by Syroco
This sign is made of plastic that is cast to look like a carved wood plaque. The top reads "The White Horse Cellar" with a horse in the center and "Eftab. 1742" on the bottom. The sign is made of dark brown plastic that was painted gold. The back side of this plaque reads "Copyright MCMLXXVI / Syroco 4587 / Made In U.S.A.". This sign measures 21-1/4" long x 13-9/16" wide x 3/4" tall.
This sign shows some age - the gold ...paint looks like it has flaked off in places (on the horse in particular) and shows some discoloration and patina. This sign definitely has a rustic look to it. It is free of loose dust but could probably use a good cleaning (I wasn't sure how to do it correctly so I didn't). There is also a spot on the 2 in "1742" where it looks like the plastic was scratched and those scratches also affect the edge of the plaque directly below it. Given the rustic look of the whole piece, I didn't think that was super noticeable. There are a also a couple of numbers written on the back in permanent marker.
