RARE Carl Perkins Autograph and Guitar PickHere is my story and i'm sticking to it...Back in October 1978 i received an autograph book for my birthday.The next day my girl and some friends bought tickets for both shows at "The Cellar Door" in Washington D.C.The 1st show we arrived last and sat in the back. BUT after the 1st show everyone had it leave unless they held a ticket for the 2nd show.Needless to say, we were front and center for the 2nd show...Now for the cool part: ...; The Old Cellar Door Bar/Nightclub in DC had a main hall and a few small side bars.During the intermission, i wandered to one of those side bars to find only the bartender and myself in the room.Who else but CARL PERKINS comes in and sits down next to me. (Holy Shit) (Did i tell you i was a BIG fan)He let me buy him a beer and we talked for about a half hour. He told stories about Elvis, Jerry Lee and Johnny CashI told him that his version of "Blue Suede Shoes" put Elvis' version to shame.His two sons Stan + Greg came and found him for the 2nd show.That is when all three signed my book.The 2nd show was fantastic... during the encore he dedicated my favorite song "Honey Don't"to MY and handed me his guitar pick... The old ticket from the Psyche Delly is from a show in 1979 and included in the action.(signed by Greg Perkins only)The clipping from that show is on the back side of the autograph page.
