It’s hard for kids these days to believe that one of the most fun toys of the mid 60s was the Mattel creepy crawlers with thing maker. The thingmaker got hot, wacky bottles of who knows what turned into wonderful play playable pliable objects!And we survived!Anyway enough with the editorial – this is a nice collection of original 1965 Mattel Thingmaker US Army Soldier And Equipment Six Piece Mold Set !Sorry, here’s another editorial, everything was MADE IN THE USA!Each mold is nu...mbered and marked ©️1965 Mattel Inc.The real key to the inside entire set is the incredible two piece soldier mold. In case you don’t remember, you could put phone wires in the mold for your group in cook the soldier and make bendable gummy type figures. Did this way back when and can tell you it was awesome.just because, it is funny to see the labeling –in case you didn’t know what anything was, the figure is marked soldier there is a fatigue hat, and snow cap, etc. The two piece mold is marked©️ 1965 Mattel Inc. 4481-056-AThe equipment molds are marked:4481-051-A- this one includes backpack, flamethrower, carbine, Holster, belt, canteen, more!4481-052-A- Tank tread, gas can, shovel, drum and a the letters US, more!4481-053-A- Binoculars, rocket, guns, more, more!4481-054-A- spare tire, sand bag, tank hatch, tripod, , more!Each metal tray is about 3“ x 2 1/2“Kind of remarkable from over 50 years ago – G.I.
