Vintage 1960's Tomy Grippidee Gravidee Sears Exclusive Deluxe Space Set MIB with original Shipping Box, Stock # 79-54238. The battery operated toy is complete except for the rubber tires which would have allowed vehicles to roll on any surface as otherwise complete and in VF/VF+ clean condition. I tested the Capsule and Airplane Chassis (2 C batteries) and both worked fine although plane propeller moved slowly as all contacts clean. The space capsule has Astronaut and Apollo 2001 marki...ngs and exhibits no wear as blue plastic nose cone not scratched or cracked and Astronaut figure raises and lowers with no catches or wobble. The following is included with this set:Space Capsule with AstronautAirplane with Battery Operated Chassis(1) 90 degree turn(2) 180 degree turns(1) Horizontal Revolver(5) Straight Track Pieces(7) In-curve Track Sections(5) Out curve Track Sections(4) Flat Curves(1) Space Dome with AntennaThe box itself measures approximately 23.50" long by 14.50" wide and sits 4" deep and has the original Insert which holds pieces in place along with the Sears shipping Box cover, There is writing by pieces on the insert and the Toy box lid itself while protected from Sears packaging has a split on both bottom right and top left corners. The coloring in box is exceptionally vibrant with no marks, stains or tape repairs as battery compartments clean with no residue or oxidation. The track pieces and clips are unbroken with no stress marks, splits or scratching and coloring on plastic clean with no fading or melt marks. Toy was used maybe 1 or 2 times and put away as shows no signs of abnormal or heavy play wear. You may be more of an expert regarding Vintage Space Toys than me as I am not an authority on everything (...a fact my wife likes to remind me of over and over and over...). Best wishes.On Feb-24-21 at 17:37:09 PST, seller added the following information:Hello- I received an excellent set of questions from a well versed individual as they WERE the expert on these toys...I as a result tested and found that both motors run strong with propeller on Plane spinning quickly but they DID NOT move within track system as could not climb up hill...Wheels are not broken and red pin on side moves as intended but could not get Plane to move and the Spaceship required prompting as it moved but very slowly. I apologize for the confusion of listing it as working as they do work but not fully as donlt move around the tracks.
