Dragun Second US Release
Jumbo Machinder Shogun Warrior
This is a very clean and unbroken example of the second Dragun release. It has been in my personal collection for years and always stood behind glass in a clean and smoke free environment. I really love this toy and dusted him clean frequently..... Now I must sacrifice him to another good home to make room for my hoarding condition.
The spinning saw blades projecting from the backs of Dragun's forearms work perfec...tly. Plus the second release touts a head made from a bit harder vinyl and is less likely to bend.
Dragun's cape has no tears like so many others I have seen and he rolls about quite nicely for a 23 1/2" Jumbo Robot on skates!
Also noteworthy, The Southern Cross (aka "Star Shooter") (NOT INCLUDED) looses its strap and gains a large plastic clip. The clip slides into two grooves on the right arm, which are clean and undamaged.
AGAIN, NO STAR SHOOTER INCLUDED, JUST WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PICTURES.
This 2nd release has the Japanese label above the belt facing forward - Which gets lost in later versions. Plus, there is also a bit of a size difference - the 2nd and 3rd are a bit taller due to the change of the wheel trucks and the slightly different sculpt on the head. On the back the "Made in Japan" has been expanded with a lot more information.
Dragun's axe throwing hand works great, and can chuck wooden matchsticks or whatever. There are no axes or matchsticka included with this auction, so sorry. Only the jumbo itself.
Sticker condition is not great, but you can always get replacements for under $20. I wanted to keep him original, so I never did.
