Measuring 54”x 92”, this Navajo is from the 1920’s or older and is woven with Churro wool and natural dyes. The condition is pretty good considering its age, has some stains, has some side cord missing, one corner needs to be addressed, has the beginning of a small hole (picture 11), has a crease (pics 10 and 12), change of color (abrash)by the weaver in the border, 9 warps and 22 wefts per square inch (very fine) but over all, is a lovely Navajo, and big too. I particularly like... the design, as I’m sure it depicts something in Navajo lore. I also am drawn to this Rugs minimalist style, in both color and design. There is no A side or B side. Pictures 1-7 is of one side, 8-12 is of the other side. This Navajo could use a good cleaning and I know that 3% hydrogen peroxide will eliminate 85%-90% of the stains, if the cleaning doesn’t do it first. Thanks for looking.
