**No Reserve**Up for auction, we have a great example of a very rare and 100% original 1950’s Rolex Perpetual Model 1014 with a Gold Capped Case and Bracelet powered by the famous Rolex 1560 Cal. movement. Watch was serviced mid 2018 and is keeping great time. Condition is Pre-owned.

The R...olex 1014 is similar to the Ref. 1024 (also Gold Shell), but is slightly larger. While the Ref. 1024 is similar (size-wise) to the common Ref. 1002 and Ref. 5500 (a.k.a Air-King), the Ref. 1014 appears to have longer (and elegantly curved) lugs. The sides of its case are flat -- like on the Ref. 5508 and other sports models. On the wrist, due to its gold coating, the Ref. 1014 wears similar to the Ref. 1012 and Ref. 1013, but -- unlike them (or Ref. 1018) -- it takes a 19mm strap. The movement is the same Chronometer-rated Cal. 1560 that you would find in a Ref. 1016 or Ref. 5512 of the same era... All-in-all, a very interesting classic Rolex reference that has not been produced in large numbers.
