A Killed in Action cherry blossom badge from Japan. These were established in 1938. This piece had the original award certificate in the case, a nice plus and rarely found. This certificate is dated Showa 23 [1948] October 1 and was given to the family of deceased Army Superior Private Nakayoshi Youichi. The wartime documents were larger and issued by the Army and Navy Ministries. By 1948, both of these had been eliminated, so this document is stamped by the Repatriation...
