1990 Marvel Universe Series 1 #132 GIANT-SIZE X-MEN #1 NM/MT. Above-average centering. See photos. READ condition description below!
CONDITION: I understand some buyers will want to send these cards to PSA for grading. I am not a professional grader, but I make an honest attempt at being as transparent and descriptive as possible as to the grade of these cards, but ultimately grading is subjective and you are buying a raw card. I look each card over for 5-10 seconds, tilting it unde...r light, looking at the surface, edges and corners. Because I'm not a professional grader, and doing a quick once-over on the cards, there are things I could miss. I do not pay close attention to the centering, because that is something you can determine to your satisfaction from any photo (if it's really bad, like 80/20 or worse on the front, I'll point it out). The following are the grading definitions I'm using to describe these cards:
**Note: based on the production quality and having opened boxes of Marvel Universe Series 1 & 2, I would judge the majority of "pack fresh" cards to be NM+. Minor corner dings, and slight surface scratches are fairly common with these cards, and the centering is an issue on the majority of cards. **NM-MT+ (or MT): In my view, the card is nearly flawless. I don't see any knicks, dings, scratches, or excessive off-centering. A card that is very nice, clean, and just better than an average pack-fresh card. Straight edges with no chipping, sharp corners, etc.NM-MT: Card appears mint, but has one, maybe two extremely minor, insignificant flaws upon close inspection, such as the slightest corner knick or a light, faint surface scratch that isn't obvious. Something that is so miniscule I can't get a good/clear photo of it. An average "pack fresh" card. A card you'd generally consider "mint" but wouldn't send in to grade hoping for a 10. (truthfully, with Marvel cards from the early 90s, this is an above-average card)NM: Has one or two minor flaws that stand out just a little bit more than NM/MT. (if there is a +, those flaws are more minor and kind of nitpicky; if there is a -, they're a little more obvious). If there is a dinged corner, it's still sharp and isn't fraying. Still an attractive and very nice card. Enlarged photos will be provided in the listing.EX-MT: Has two or more minor flaws, or one more significant flaw (for example- instead of a corner "ding", the corner may be very slightly rounded and not sharp). Still an appealing card but not a high grade. A good card for an album. EX: Has more moderate defects that are fairly easy to see. Overall still a fairly clean card, but may have light rounding on one or more corners, or there may be a very gentle, slight corner crease that isn't a sharp crease or a wrinkled crease. Or it could have fairly minor flaws, but a greater number of them. Could have a couple light surface scratches but no break in the coloring or scuff marks. VG-EX: Obvious defects, but no wrinkled creases, heavy scuffing, etc. Could have a bit of fraying on a corner, edges that are rough but not torn, etc.
NOTE: None of the grades would have major creases (ones that wrinkle), significantly rounded, frayed corners, or significant scratching or scuffing. In all examples from NM to VG-EX, I will note the noticeable flaws in the description and will provide photos of them. SHIPPING: Cards under $20 (not including tax) will be shipped well-protected in a penny sleeve and toploader in a team bag, inside a folded sheet of cardstock, in a plain white envelope via ebay standard envelope with tracking. Anything over $20 will be shipped wrapped in cardboard inside a bubble mailer via USPS First Class with tracking.
