This auction is for a pair of Vintage Very Rare Lefton Sweet Easter Boy & Girl Duck Salt & Pepper Shakers. I have only ever seen one other set like this one in my research. These shakers are in the form of a blue “letter S” and a pink “ letter P”, each one decorated with a really cute, bright yellow Duckling. The Duckies are hand-painted with orange bills and expressive black eyes. They measure approx. 2 and 1/2” high by 2 and 1/2” wide. Their overall condition is very good... to excellent. There are some tiny natural flaws in the paint/ finish; and there is some very minimal, normal surface wear from age/use/storage. The one foot on the salt shaker Duck has a weird indentation that does not appear to be a chip- it is painted and glazed- maybe to look like webbing? I tried to highlight it in a picture. I believe that both stoppers are original. The salt shaker has remnants of a Lefton sticker on the bottom, and both pieces are marked with the numbers 2517.
