Stanley/Bailey No. 4-1/2 Smooth Plane. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority MailFor you consideration is a Stanley / Bailey No 4 1/2 C Smooth Plane. The plane has been cleaned throughout and is free of rust. All screws and cap latch work freely. It has 3 patent dates on the casting - MAR 25, 1902, AUG 19, 1902, and APR 19, 1910. The mark on the iron was used from 1907 to 1909 and the irons were still put in planes in 1910. This is a Type 11 Stanley plane with a Type 10 iron.... So this plane is about 110 years old!! The plane is much larger and heavier than the regular No 4 Smooth plane. It is 10 inches long x 2 3/4 inch wide with a 2 5/16 inch width iron. The “C” denotes a corrugated bed. The top of the rosewood handle has had the very top end broken off at some point but does not affect the tote handle function.We accept PAYPAL ONLY as payment for this item.We accept returns only if we have made a serious error in our description.We ship only to the United States.
