This is the larger version of the brass New Century circle or sprocket lock made by Fraim Lock Co. early 1900s. Typically used to secure bicycles/motorcycles by locking the chain and sprocket. This lock is fully functional but requires user to lift the shackle to release, likely a weak shackle spring. Very attractive lock with a even deep patina, clear sharp markings with an appropriate level of wear. Guaranteed authentic. Hard to find lock in this condition with a key.
