Offered here is a very fine ANTIQUE-VINTAGE MILLERS FALLS MITRE BOX WITH A BEAUTIFUL "WARRANTED SUPERIOR" UNKNOWN BRAND BACKSAW WITH A 14 INCH BLADE THAT HAS 14 TEETH-PER-INCH. This very choice MITRE BOX is in near mint condition with little usage. There is the original label (with damage) on the back of the box (see photos). The metal swing arm and saw housing is in excellent condition. The parts are all clean and they move freely with positive... stops at important angles. The wooden mitre box base does not have saw marks running across the width, only a tiny saw mark on the back. Whoever used the saw (sparingly) must have placed a wooden sacrificial board under the piece he was cutting. The saw is in very fine condition with very sharp teeth. Overall, the saw measures 19-1/4 inches in length. The brass saw nuts have been cleaned and polished. The hardwood wooden handle is in very good-excellent condition with just scratches from the tool box or bench. I don't see any markings on the blade stiffener or etching on the blade. The saw was probably original to the mitre box and made for a quality manufacturer for MILLERS FALLS. This very fine, portable, and small miter box would look great in your shop or ANTIQUE TOOL COLLECTION. See photos for additional details. Any questions, please ask.
