Here we have a Vintage MILLERS FALLS No. 140 Jack Smooth Plane, (No. 5 Size - 14" Long). All moving parts operate smoothly. Black and red Japanning is at 90-95%. The red stained and varnished hardwood tote and front knob have no cracks. Both handles have some minor nicks, dings, and scratches (see pics). The cutter adjusting knob is the large steel version. The body, sole and mouth are in very good clean condition with a few nicks, scratches and m...inor corrosion marks. The body is marked on the left side wall 'MILLERS FALLS No. 140', and on the inside of the bed 'MADE IN U.S.A.'. The lever cap is the smooth, nickel-plated, 'straight-shaped' slot type. The 2" wide cutting iron is full length and is marked with the Millers Falls info.. The blade is sharp but should be touched up before use. Body is 14"L x 2-1/2"W. There are no owners marks.
