Rare Antique Vintage Late 1800’s CAST IRON WALLPAPER Cutting / KNIFE TOOL. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.This is a rare cast iron wallpaper knife in very good condition. Its amazing how this little tool feels in your hand. It has a fat, rounded pistol grip with thumb plate to apply cutting pressure and a finger guard to protect your digits from that razor sharp disc. On the right hand side between the finger guard and the disc attachment screw is a depress...ion for your finger to apply pressure for alignment. Overall length is 6" and it weighs approximately 7 ounces.The steel cutting disc is 1 3/4" in diameter and is razor sharp. It is attached to the cast iron handle with the original round head machine screw. The cutting disc is securely attached and spins freely on its axle. The disc is flat, true and has a good edge with no chips or gaps. The steel cutting disc has a nice dark patina.This antique cast iron wallpaper knife is a rare old tool. This one is completely intact with nothing missing, broken, damaged or repaired. It will make a fine addition to any antique tool collection. It is marked Union Warranted and still has some of its original gold paint.
