Offered here is a very fine QUALITY VINTAGE MACHINIST'S TOOL MANUFACTURED BY BROWN & SHARPE: A VERNIER DEPTH GAUGE, No. 600 WITH GAUGE AND 6 INCH BLADE. This fine tool also comes with its original VINTAGE BROWN & SHARPE LEATHER CASE ...with a worn outer finish...and nicely FITTED-FELT LINED INTERIOR. This quality tool was recently purchased from an estate sale where all the tools were kept clean and dry in the machinist's tool box. This VERNIER DEP...TH GAUGE is in excellent condition. The gauge measures depths in 64th of an inch on one scale and thousandths of an inch on the other. The 6 inch blade allows measurements to be made 3-1/2" or 88m deep. It looks as if the owner put his name on the gage frame. (see photos) This is a top quality tool is being offered for sale at a fraction of what a new or top quality VERNIER DEPTH GAUGE would cost.
