Original Description:
Antique Salt Glazed Butter Crock, 6.5 inches wide and 4 inches deep. This Gorgeous Blue, White and Cream Colored Pottery has 4 Embossed Butterflies Circling the Bowl. I don’t know why it is marked 2 1/2 on the bottom in pencil, but it does weigh 2.5 pounds when empty. This antique began its life with a flat lid and a wire handle. This crock does NOT have either. However, this beauty also is NOT chipped, cracked or repaired. Every piece of pottery has imperfections, and the ones I see... here are part of a patina that is smooth everywhere to the touch.
