For sale is this beautiful antique illuminated leaf from an Islamic Koran (or Qu’ran). The words are handwritten Arabic script, on gold painted paper, with accent marks in other colors. It consist of several lines written in Naskhi script. This piece likely originated from North Africa, the Middle East, or Northern India (possibly Kashmir). It may reasonably date back to the 1500-1800’s, and is in very good condition with only small light age marks. Please study photos for a better... indication of condition. I purchased it from a large antique document & manuscript dealer. This piece is guaranteed authentic, and would be a great piece for display or use as decor. It would complement any collection perfectly! Don’t pass it up!
