RARE NEW LONDON 901 TUBE TESTER HICKOK 539B / TV7 TV2 CA-1630 RCA WT-100A #3
These are very scarce units that were only made in a small quantity. It is estimated only about 300 were made, far fewer still survive today.
I tried testing a type 45 tube on it that I tested on another tester and it was new. The tube lit up and I could verify that the meter was working when in the filament position. I was not able to adjust to plate voltage. The plate current meter seems to b...e working, there might be an issue with the plate voltage control, when the plate voltage control is move past 50 volts, The meter indicates over 200mA current draw which is not right. Most likely this is a capacitor issue. I didn't test unit further, it may need a few tweaks but I think all main components are working.
I had used a variac up to 110 volts. The buyer can go up the rest of the way (very slowly of of course)
It should be looked over by a technician qualified for tube tester repair.
It is sold as is, in need of repair and in need of calibration, cannot verify if it's completely working.
I actually have one more of these units available if the buyers interested, this other one is currently missing main meter although the previous owner is still looking for it.
