A beautiful example of a Antique French Mannequin. It is a rare find as it was made by the famous company Stockman Paris. This is embossed on the tightening ring.
The mannequin has lovely dimensions and has aged gracefully! It really is in good condition for its age. The linen is hand stitched in places, it is black and there is the odd sign of wear to the fabric, little worn areas at the shoulders etc. The fabric was coated black, the black mannequins are more rare and difficult to find. Her bust on the left side is slightly depressed but because the color is black it is not so noticeable but it is misshapen. The paint is aged and faded to reveal the wood, I have left the wood in an as found condition so you may wish to wax and buff it. There are traces of old woodworm but I have treated this as a precaution. The base is adjustable with the tightening ring. She is original and genuine and she has lived a little. Please study the photographs carefully as they form part of the description.
She would look great for your photo shoots or to display period clothing or accessories. She would look good as a prop in your atelier.
