You are bidding on an Abel Super 7/8N Grateful Dead 50th Anniversary fly reel. The reel is in mint NIB condition. Can be set for either right or left hand wind. The run was limited to only 500 of these reels and they are extremely difficult to find. The Specs: takes a 7/8 weight fly line with 225/200 yards of #20 backing. Weighs in at 6.8 ounces. Made of the finest materials. The third and final design in Abel's collectable Grateful Dead series of reels celebrates the 50... year logo for this iconic band. This unique combination of a machined, and hand painted anodized graphic is limited to only 500 total reels.The 50th anniversary logo for the Grateful Dead is a very sophisticated graphic. The intricate skull, roses, and EST. 1965 banner are precision milled .020” into the reel frame before being painted resulting in a striking image that you can both see and feel. The additional details are meticulously painted by hand with an anodized finish that not only looks great on display in your home or office, but can be confidently fished in a fresh or saltwater environment without damaging the reel.
