Original Description:
Early stainless steel trephine made by Penn Surgical Mfg. Company in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Great piece of medical history. Note the thumb indentations for proper grip and the drainage holes on the drill. The drill is still tight and sharp. Measures approx. 8” tall with the drill tip measuring 0.25” across. nice patina with the exception of a stain on the handle. I have not tried removing it.
