This viewfinder is also used in the M6 and M7A very nice example to find in this condition with its box, papers and all!This is a VERY RARE and VERY LATE production M4-P camera. Last batch made in 1986. #1...691951-1692950 serial # series but only 770 camera made. Very special as this is in the same serial # run of the earliest M6 and the unique characteristic of the SINGLE FLASH plug on the back.The regular M4-P has 2 plugs ( one for flash and the other for bulb ) then Leica moved to the M6 with the single plug for only the flash. Even the front viewfinder window is a FLAT GLASS similar to the M6 and unlike the regular M4-P that have a step down.
This is a very late, M6 style M4-P last batch production! VERY NICE!
It even has the M6 style box, marked ERNST LEITZ WEZTLAR GMBH and MADE IN CANADA but this camera was made and manufactured in GERMANY along side the first series M6. No camera was made in Canada at this point of production.
Even has the German BLANK warranty card and International Pass. Just magnificent!
