Beautifully refinished mahogany presentation/jewelry/storage box. Measures 5" long x 3 1/2" deep x 2 1/2" tall. Inside is 4 3/8" long x 2 7/8" deep x 1 7/8" tall. Sides are 5/16" thick and assembled using the barefaced housing joint for esthetics and strength. Hook latch is original and broken hinges were replaced with period appropriate one. Exterior refinished with several coats of MinWax Satin Varnish and hand polished to a soft luster with 0000 steel wool and paste wax. Inside of the lid... and bottom are lined with black felt. Excellent condition. All joints are solid. No cracks, scratches or splits in the wood.
