Thrift store find. Vintage gentleman and lady head vases. Unmarked, and I don’t know the maker. Similar pairs of vases online are described as Lucy and Ricky vases, after Lucille Ball and Ricky Ricardo. The few I found on eBay and elsewhere online were priced high; $100 or more. Since Ricky has some damage, maybe these will be a bargain to a collector. He has a chip on his forehead and there’s a chip on the vase opening and at the bottom of his jacket. There are also small flecks o...f glaze missing from his back. There may be other little chips that I missed - my old eyes aren’t so great. He may have taken a tumble at some point. The hole for his boutonnière (cute for a tiny flower!) and the inside of the vase opening has mineral stains that would probably come off with some CLR or similar cleaner. Lucy has some roughness around the opening at the top but she’s otherwise in great shape. She has red jeweled earrings and he has a matching jewel on his ascot.
