Antique CopperKettle Teapot With Delftware Delft Porcelain Handle Bakelite Knob This antique copper kettle withgooseneck spout has a beautiful Delftware blue on white porcelain handle. Thecopper has a great aged patina and the copper lid has a black Bakelite finial. Thehandle is copper riveted to the kettle and has a copper rivet that acts as ahinge so that the handle can fold down to either side. This early 1900’s primitivekettle would go nicely with many décor’s – Rustic,... cottage, farmhouse, vintage.
I have left the kettle in as-found condition since it has such a great agedpatina with some areas of verdigris starting to form. If you prefer shinycopper, it would polish up nicely with some effort. There are no cracks orholes, so it does hold water. I do not know if it is tin lined since I didn't scrub it clean so I wouldn’t recommend using it for drinking until you know forsure. Marks/Hallmarks – None found Measurements – Roughly 7” (wide at the spout); 7” (tall to the top of the handle) Material/Color – Copper (aged patina); Porcelain handle (blue & white); Bakelite finial (black) Condition Note (CYA): This is a vintage pre-owned item. There will be some scuffs, scrapes, scratches, wear & imperfections from years of use. This piece is in very nice antique condition with a heavy patina.
