Beautiful early version of the classical Steiff Pig on Wheels in a quite scarcesize.Excelsior hard-stuffed pink mohair plush posed on dark blue woodenwheels with metal axe attachments, black bead shoe button eyes, velvet nosewith painted features, and mini FF underscored Steiff button in the left ear.Made in Germanyby Steiff, ca, 1916-1917.
Dimensions:
8-¾” (22cm) heigh x 14”(3...5cm.) long.Condition:All original and completetoy/doll. Faded and soiled overall with areas of thinning, a few bald spots(see pictures.) Visible wire on tail. Rust to the axels and worn paint andlacquer on wheels. None of the mentioned flaws detract from the beauty anddesirability of this early version toy. Otherwise, excellent fine overall condition, commensurate with a more than 100-year-old piece!! This charming and desirabledoll is free of odors and comes from a non-smoking and pet-free environment.
