Spinosaurus is a genus of Theropod Dinosaur. The best known species are S. Aegyptiacus from Egypt and S. Maroccanus from Morocco. They lived in what is now North Africa during the Cretaceous period abo...ut 112 million years ago. This was among the largest of all known carnivorous dinosaurs. Some estimates suggest it could reach lengths of 50 feet and weighed up to 7 tons. Spinosaurus is known to have eaten fish and most scientists believe it hunted on land as well as in water.
