we are happy to accept payment by cheque, bank transfer or cash on collectiona rare early and very fine liberty & co tudric art nouveau pewter and enamel hot water jug, it is of superb quality and would have been sold through the liberty & co store in londons regent street as part of their tudric range, there were several designers using this medium of design and decoration during this era, amongst those the most notable were, archibald knox, bernard cu...zner, rex silver, jessie m king, murrle bennett, charles horner and james fenton.it would have been produced by haselers of birmingham, these were the only silversmith making for libertys and produced the cymric silver ware range plus the tudric pewter range also, it is a very rare and desirable piece fully marked to the base it is a well documented piece coming from the iconic 0231 teaset, the design number 0231 dating it to c1903 , the body of the piece that surrounds the flip up lid with the original heat guard to the thumber, either side of the handle is adorned with a stunning knox entrelac design which has absolutely no loss of definition and is factory fresh & crisp plus the two fabulous enamel plaques which are both in good order, the handle retains 85% of its original intricate wicker covering the rest has been sympathetically redone in twine, lifting the lid reveals a clean interior with no damage or repair, add to this the mirror like finish and you have a stunning display piece, it is well in excess of 100 years old and as such may have some very minor signs of age & use as befits a functional piece of domestic hardware, please feel free to ask any questions and i will reply within 24hours, this is a genuine piece and should not be mistaken for the unmarked copies and reproduction items offered on ebay.postage is by special delivery in the u.k and airsure or signed for to international destinations.
