This radio has been recapped and several resistors have been changed. All tubes test good or better. Parts of the outer cover have been repainted, but it still has the original embossed and silkscreened text on the front. It also has all the original covers and screws.
Received WWV on all 3 shortwave bands and on shortwave radio stations. I have received code and some SSB. It also has good DX on standard broadcast.
I only retuned the broadcast band on this radio, and left... the other three bands as they were.

On Aug-15-19 at 19:39:14 PDT, seller added the following information:** EDIT 8/15/19: I've had a couple of emails concerning the face lettering being original.
One was on ebay, and I answered him by telling him that I had originally bought this a few years ago (in mostly its present condition) with the understanding that it was original. Later today I had another email, this time from a Hallicrafter collector, inquiring as to whether I was the original owner. I told him no, that I had bought it in that condition. He warned me that there are people out there who buy these and resurface them, but pass them off as the original, so to be careful what I buy.
I am posting this update to address the concern of it being original, since I don't know if my answer to the Ebay inquirer was posted.
This is only a hobby of mine (rebuilding the radios, ) it's not a business. This was the first shortwave receiver that I bought, which sparked an interest in fixing these and keeping them in circulation.
