Please note that I will be separately listing two ammo pouches today.

This is what I believe to be a Civil War or World War I leather army ammunition pouch with an insert.
It measures 4 inches high X 5 1/2 inches wide x 2 inches - 2 1/4 inches deep (10.1 cm x 14 cm x 5.1 – 5.7 cm).
I figured this was American, but I may even be wrong about that.
There is some type of indentation on the bottom. It looks like a U and then a light indentation below that. I don’t know ...if this is original to it.
The piece looks like it had water damage at some point. It was closed when this happened, as the front part below the lid does not have this damage.

It weighs a little under 8 ounces (222 g).
