Original Description:
It is nice to be able to offer an item with a a writing attesting to its history, although researching it is interesting as well.  Length folded with fringe - 6" width 5".  Open 8.5" without measuring fringe.Beaded hide belt pouch, deaccessioned from Hopewell Museum, Hopewell NJ.  Beading is in Plateau style.  Accompanied by a handwritten note: From "Sitting Bull's" daughter to a Soldier for saving her life from a large snake about to spring upon... her.  Given me by the same soldier 1898. Clara J. Hillman;
