Extremely RARE Sony Vaio VGN - X505ZP 10. 4 " Ultrabook W/ ALL Accessories

Hieveryone! Up for sale today is an EXTREMELY RARESONY VAIO VGN-X505ZP ULTRAPORTABLE LAPTOP PC!! This is the iconic Sony Vaio that was released in 2004 and is now regarded as the very first Ultrabook. It's design was way ahead of it's time and it's even slimmer along the front than the first Macbook Air that was released in 2009! *This is the third one that I've owned and I have not seen another one come up for sale since the last one I sold in 2015.* In terms of laptop collectib...ility, the X505 is certainly high on the list (especially for any Sony enthusiast).
This laptop works perfectly and is in VERY GOOD condition for it's age! The person that I bought it from told me it had been packed away in it's original case for about 10 years before he decided to sell it. Because of this, the battery no longer takes a charge and the CMOS battery would likely need to be replaced as well to keep the time and date. I've spent a while testing it and it runs surprisingly fast considering it's specs. Every time I've had one of these, I've always been very impressed at how usable they are compared to similar vintage ultraportables. I've done my best to highlight any of the flaws in the photos but will list them here in more detail. Currently, the left hinge is broken/ separated but I will be repairing that before the laptop ships. This seems to be common with the X505s and should be an easy enough fix since I have repaired many hinges and brackets on other Sony, Dell and Toshiba laptops in the past. There is a hairline crack in the lid cover (which is otherwise mint) as well as paint chips around the sides and on the bottom. This is also common with the X505s due to the paint not adhering to the metal shell as it would with other materials. Some of the finish has worn off on the left Shift and S keys on the keyboard but it's not very noticeable. Lastly, the screen does have several flaws that seem to occur on all X505s over time. Some are more visible on white screens while others stand out more against dark colors. I tried my best to capture them in photos 4 & 5 so you can see what I mean. The screen has excellent color and even with the minor flaws, it still looks lovely. Again, this is a 16 year old laptop and a model that hardly ever comes up for sale.
Along with the Vaio itself, you will also receive ALL of the original accessories including the battery, power adapter, Ethernet & VGA dongle, external DVD+-RW drive (model PCGA-DDRW2), and the two matching VAIO cases (one for the laptop and one for the adapter and dongle). It will also come with a zippered Dell case for the optical drive and a Sony mouse with a built in card reader (model MSAC-US70).
