Tuperssuatsiaite~Na2(Fe3+, Mn2+)3Si8O20(OH)2·4H2OAegirine ~NaFe3+Si2O6Sazhinite-(Ce) ~Na2CeSi6O14•6H2OArisQuarries, Aris, Windhoek Rural District, Khomas Region, NamibiaEx. Ron Sloto (PA) Measures:19 x 11 x 5 mm3/4” x 7/16” x 1/4”  Darkreddish-brown micro tufts and single acicular crystals of Tuperssuatsiaite formed on clear crystals of Sazhinite-(Ce), while scattered about are numerous tiny, black, elongated Aegirine crystals. As youcan see, this one-of-a-kind sampl...e is quite small and could easily fit into amicromount box; we were just uncertain as to which side we liked the best, sowe did not mount it. (Note: 4 of my photos were taken through the microscope ata high power.) Magnification is definitely needed.  Seeing how tiny the Tuperssuatsiaiteand Sazhinite-(Ce) is on this sample makes one realize why this silicates are sorare~! Aris is located just south of the Gocheganas Nature Preserve. The areaproduces many unusual minerals and is compared to famous rare minerals site ofMont Saint-Hilaire, Quebec. This will be another great addition to yoursystematic collection. I got this specimen from well-known collector and author, Ron Sloto.
