I've been in the business for over 30 years and I've made props for doz...ens of films and tv shows- and many theme parks (including Harry Potter at Universal and Galaxy's Edge at Disney). I made a few of these bowcasters years ago, when SW Celebration (Orlando) was in town. The last three pictures show a completed bowcaster which I made using many of the pieces shown here (the completed bowcaster is NOT a part of the auction). You get all the items in the first picture. It's about 90% of what you will need to finish the project. The pieces on the pink post it note (which go on the barrel housing) were given to me by a propmaker who claimed that they were cast from the original. If you're a true stickler for details- this won't be a 100% accurate film version (which changed from film to film), but it will get you started in the right direction.
PLEASE NOTE: On a scale of 1 to 10 for prop making difficulty, this ranks somewhere around an 8 or 9. It's not an easy job and it requires an experienced skillset. Pretty much every piece will have to be rigged or custom fit in some way shape or form. I can't help with this project. I simply don't have the time to answer emails and lay it all out. (I can put it together for you, but it will take a few weeks and cost you a few thousand dollars. If you're interested in that, please let me know.) You will need to have a working knowledge of adhesives and "improvising with various hardware fasteners". Some pieces will need to be modified/ fabricated. There's an army of super skilled people on the RPF (the Replica Prop Forum) who will make themselves available to help you out.
If you're only interested in the Barnett Commando Crossbow, it's in good shape. The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th pics show close ups of the crossbow. Don't know much about them so what you see is what you get. I do know this one looks to be in pretty good condition. Well cared for, not a lot of scratches. Even the bow looks new.
Please note, this item can't be shipped internationally as it is considered a weapon.
Thanks for looking and good luck! I hope this special auction goes to the right person!
