Vintage Art Deco CARTIER Concealed WATCH Lighter A rare and important vintage Cartier concealed watch lighter in as-is condition. The watch is concealed in a spring loaded compartment at the bottom of the lighter. We were unable to find another example of this unique piece. Watch movement signed "J. Schulz". Case is signed "Jsch" in several places. James Schulz was an independent watchmaker in New York City who began his career at Tiffany & Co. and later designed unique timepieces for Cartier. S...olid sterling silver & enamel construction. All pieces marked: "Jsch" and "STERLING". Watch dial signed "CARTIER" Serial number "341243" on interior of watch compartment. Swiss 17 jewel manual wind watch movement signed "J. Schulz" Measures 19.6mm wide x 67.6mm tall x 7.9mm thick. Fresh out of a life long world class lighter collection. As-is vintage condition with some minor imperfections to the enamel finish. Watch movement case is supposed to be hinged to the main case but has broken off and now moves freely in the concealed compartment. Watch is not currently running and watch crystal is missing.
