The Hell Gate Precise Transit.... Engineers model no.52-FR 52-FRH-30. and 52-FRH-20 Vintage W&LE Gurley Survey Transit Scope In Original Case With Tri-Pod & Tools. The transit is in excellent and all original condition. No damage, it does show some ware from use. No oxidation o...r corrosion. It is fully functional. All knobs do turn freely. Lens appear to be clear with no scratches. All of the bubbles for leveling are all in very good condition. The compass is perfect. It appears as this Transit has neen very well taken care of. It is cast and metal construction with black paint finish. In its original wooden box which is dovetailed and does show ware from use. It has brass hinges and the original latches. The leather carrying strap is broken from age. It does have the lens cover, a yellow tinted smaller lens and screwdriver, pin, brush and instruction and does have the original plumb bob. The tri pod is the original tri pod that came with it and is in great condition again the leather strap has dried out and is boken. I have tried to get photos of everything that comes with this very nice Transit and Tri Pod. They will be shipped in 2 seperate boxes.
