AN EXTREMELY RAREMATCHED PAIR OF EARLY 17TH CENTURY DUTCH BRASS CANDLESTICKS WITH A RIMMED ROUNDBASE AND EXTREMELY BOLD VASE BALUSTER STEM, Holland, circa 1640-1670, in nearperfect condition AND IN THE BEST OLD GRUNGY SURFACE AND COLOR.
A GREAT BOLD EARLYPAIR OF CANDLESTICKS.Greatearly form with a RIMMED round base and a very bold baluster turned stem wit...han early form round candle cup with a flared top edge.Theturnings on the shaft are heavy and deep.Thecondition is near perfect with just the minor dings and surface abrasions youwould expect from over 350 years of use.Thesticks are still tight.Approximately 51/4" tall and the base is about 3 3/4".For asimilar example, see, "Early American Antique Country Furnishings", by George Neumann, as well as "The Brass Book", by Schiffer.Typicalwear and imperfections with age.
