1956-62 Black on Yellow California License Plates Set with the Original 1960 Tag on it. Excellent Conditions. My Father owned a Brand New 1960 Ford Thunderbird back in the day and these Plates were assigned to the Car by the DMV. In 1963, California switched over to the 1963 Black Plates and these came off and he saved them. Down the road, he gave them to me. In 1985, I purchased a 1960 Thunderbird for myself since I had always loved the looks of that car, and thanks to the YOM Program..., I was able to assign them to my Car. Front Plate was repainted 25 years ago but back plate has original paint as I did not want to lose the original 1960 Sticker. They were on the Car until 2015 when I sold it to an out of State Buyer so I held on to the Plates since I own them and will Supply a Note Transfering my Interest to you upon Sale. I moved to Texas to Retire, last year, so I will be unable to use them in the future, so I figured I might as well Sell them to someone who can. PLEASE NOTE - VERY IMPORTANT!: Since they were assigned to a 1960 Automobile, DMV Considers these to be 1960 Plates and can only be used on a 1960 Car (I found this out the hard way, when I sold another set of YOM Plates that had come off of my 1953 Lincoln that I had sold about 5 or 6 Years earlier). You must own a 1960 Car to use these Plates - Sorry! I offer a 14 Day Return on these Plates if DMV gives you any problems registering these to your car for any reason, Money Back, No Problem! (BONUS: I am including 2 DAV Key Fob License Tags that I have for the Plates plus a T-Bird Key Fob & a Thunderbird Hotel Bird).
