Up for bids I have an Antique Shaving Mirror on Stand with Cup and BrushThis shaving stand measures 14 1/2" tall. It is guaranteed to be old and original. The mirror has beveled edge with small amount of damage. The backside of mirror appears to be leather (see pics). There may have been some type of clasp or tightening mechanism at the top of the mirror which is missing (see pics) the mirror does slid around in the frame but it does not fall out. I do not know what the base ...is made out of it seems like a soft metal of some type that is possibly tarnished, I do know that a magnet will not stick to the base. Magnet will not stick to the metal around the mirror or the metal that holds the shaving brush. A magnet does stick to the stem and the ring that holds the shaving cup. The base is not round, it has some bends in it, but this does not keep it from standing up straight and tall (see pic). There is markings on the underside of the base (see pic). I read it to say K.S.C. 1599 with a logo of some sort. Please check out my other auctions for more antique shaving items. Shipping combined on multiple auction wins.
