* Frequency Response: 5 Hz to 50 kHz (!)* Total Harmonic Distortion: less than 0.03%* All Buttons And Knobs Have Been Cleaned And Lubricated - No Static* All Letters And Numbers Are Sharp And Intact* All Indicator Lights (AM, FM, Aux, , ) Perform As Designed* Brushed Black Face Plate Is Virtually Scratch-Free With Four Sharp Corners - please see pics to judge* Features The Always-Sought-After Pre-Out/Main In Ports For Adding Additional Outboard Gear* Tuning Wheel Is Smooth As Silk* 10-Click Bass And Treble Controls To Get To That Perfect SettingNOTE 1: Although This Receiver Sounds Fantastic And Has Excellent Stereo Separation,
Somewhere In The Musical Mists Of Time Both The Signal Strength And The Tuning Meters Stopped
Performing As They Were Designed. The Signal Strength Meter Stays At It's Current Position.
The Tuning Meter DOES Still Move A Tiny Bit. They Both MAY Just Need A Little Lube And A Little Nudge
I Have Not Attempted This.
NOTE 2: The Rear Panel Of This Receiver Has A FM De-Emphasis Switch. This Was Used With The Now-Obsolete Dolby FM System. De-Emphasis Was Utilized To Smooth Out The Dolby Signal. Standard FM De-Emphasis Is 75 uS In North America. Switching To The 50 uS Position Will Give You A 3 dB Per Octave Treble Rise. If You Like Boosted Treble, Give It A Try. You May Like It And It Won't Hurt A Thing
NOTE 3: This Fine Receiver Has A Rear Panel 'Stereo/Ambient' Switch. In The 'Stereo' Position This Allows The Remote Speakers To Perform As A Second Full Range Set Of Speakers. In The 'Ambient' Position Your Remote Speakers Enhance Your Main Speakers With 'Life Like' Ambient Response. It's A Very Cool Effect.
* High Filter Button For Minimizing Vinyl Pops And Tape Hiss
* Infrasonic Button For Reducing Turntable Rumble And Low Frequency Noise
