Offered for sale beautiful, rare, part of my Art Deco collection, antique entry door ( or interior pull up door handle) knob. This figural handle is15" long(H). It is gray, silver, nickel color with great patina. It's never been cleaned. If you prefer cleaning, it will be beautiful, shiny peace. It comes from New York building torn down? I do not know the exact history, but it was bought in New York antique store. It is heavy molded metal piece. I hope on my pictures you are able to se...e mold connection line. It is visible on the enlarged pictures, realistically not. Regarding the color, I strongly believe it is made of brushed aluminum, spelt or spelt-er metal mix that was very popular during Art Deco period, or, possibly some mix of aluminum, white metal and iron, it has dissent weight, it is not light at all. Condition is good, patina, slight wear, dust/dirt accumulation, small, tiny scratches, free of deformation, in one word overall condition is fine. It does not have original screws. Design is typical from the period, naked sculptural, forward back lady swimmer figure with long hear gradually expending in a curved door handle. Excellent details, profile image and pose. It would be beautiful addition to the period house or apartment entry door. Probably once it was matching door handle , pull up for a big double door joining hallway or double rooms... or industrial, public building hardware??? It is 15" long, actually 14.75", 2.5" wide and 3.25" deep. It has enough space for comfortable hold, even small or big hand. I believe it is authentic Art Deco handle from 20's/30's..Excellent, rare, collectible addition to your period style collection or period home/room. Fill free to ask any additional question.
