Very Rare Locality CUBANITE In Diabase - - Yagoshi Mine, Japan - - Museum Benefit
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:42908825 | Country/Region of Manufacture: Japan |
I stopped by Ray's house not long ago on the way back from Tucson and he gave me another batch of specimens so please check back every now and again for the chance to snag some really hard-to-get specimens from old collections, etc.
This piece shows lean metallic cubanite in a matrix that appears to be diabase. The Yagoshi mine entry on mindat.org does not show any photos of specimens from the mine so I will add a photo of this particular piece to the database. This should give one a good idea of the rarity of specimens from this particular mine. There are no accompanying labels with the specimen.
I've had cubanite specimens from Quebec and from Brazil but this is the first piece I've had from Japan. I've noticed that everything I've listed from Japan over the years on eBay has sold---there is obviously quite a market for Japanese specimens!
Please check my feedback and my other eBay items. All specimens are carefully wrapped, come with complete and accurate labels and are quickly shipped. As always, your complete satisfaction is unconditionally guaranteed and I even offer FREE return shipping on any item that fails to satisfy for any reason---you can't go wrong. I'm reminded of the firm pledge printed on the old Foote Mineral Company mineral catalogs from more than a century ago,
"Quality of specimens is assured as we permit return of specimens at our expense."
Thanks for looking!
