Rare & Unusual Anasazi Reserve Pitcher 1100 AD.

This Rare Anasazi Reserve Pitcher was made around 1100 AD.It is as found with No restoration and has 100% original paint.This pitcher was found intact.It has a crack that runs across the bottom, and some of the rim was broken off prehistorically, as you can see.That part of the rim was smoothed off which shows the Anasazi continued to use it for many years after the rim was broken.The paint is strong with an artistic Anasazi design, but what makes this pitcher rare is the tunnel that w...as put at the top of the rim.It is hollow and tough to make.Maybe this was a prehistoric invention, maybe for use of a shoulder strap or who knows, i can only guess.It has a nicely made 3 rib handle, and it has a concave bottom to sit up sturdy.It is medium sized.4  1/2'' wide and 5  1/2''tall...                                                             .                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                We We sell only authentic pre-historic pottery made between the years of 700 A.D. and 1550 A.D.  All of our pottery is guaranteed to be authentic, an obtained  legally on private  land.
