This auction is for a great looking, folk art pike by Jerry Matzen. it is 5 3/4" long and is painted in a great combination of colors. Jerry Matzen fish decoys appear in the reference book FISH DECOY MAKERS PAST AND PRESENT and also in the book THE FISH DECOY, Volume 3. Jerry no longer lives in Minnesota and has not made any decoys in quite a few years. This example is in excellent, original and never used condition with very light wear. The carver has signed the decoy on the bottom an...d the age is 15-20 years old.
