*****Just a side note concerning the common problem of the battery cover door breaking off or cracking, due to poor design. Many people will open up the radio and snip off the battery spring. I did not do that, but found a better way! I found out that the Panasonic Alkaline batteries (carbon zinc won't work) are considerably shorter than other brands, thus relieving tension on the battery door.******
