On offer is a vintage used brass door knocker depicting the Longships Lighthouse at Lands End in Cornwall. The original tower was built in 1795 but construction of the current lighthouse was started in 1869. It was first lit in 1875 and stands 115ft tall. Please look carefully at all the pictures as they form part of the item description.The door knocker has been used but is still in really nice condition. It has an overall length of just under 5" (12cm) and it weighs about 160gms. I can't find any makers name or number on the item. There is no damage to the door knocker but there is a bit of wear and grubbiness. I haven't cleaned this since it came into my possession - I've left that job to a new owner. Despite the minor cosmetic faults it is a lovely vintage piece. It looks good and will display well. !!!Please look at all the pictures as they form part of the item description!!!
